Meet Kristina Buche: "Director of First Impressions"

A Chelan Native Committed to Serving Her Community,
CHELAN, Washington — Kristina Buche brings both local roots and a genuine heart for helping people to her new role, which is just inside the doors of the Lake Chelan Community Center. She’s the front desk receptionist and administrative assistant who will welcome visitors in the place where first impressions are made.
Born in Chelan, Kristina spent time in Spokane before moving back to the valley with her husband Matt to raise their family in the community she loves. “I have a heart for helping people,” Kristina explains, a quality that makes her a natural fit with the Boys and Girls Club and for welcoming visitors to the Community Center.
Most recently, Kristina worked at the front desk of Lake Chelan Hospital, where she gained valuable experience in customer service and community interaction. As a
self-described “very involved mom,” she often prioritized being present for her children over getting needed sleep during her graveyard shift at the hospital – a testament to her dedication to family.
Her connection to the Community Center runs even deeper through her family. Her husband Matt was part of the construction team that built the Community Center building, working with Rimmer and Roeter to create the facility that now serves as the heart of community activities. “Kristina’s a good fit with her new role because she has a heart for kids,” notes Maribel Cruz, Executive Director of the Community Center, particularly relevant as the Community Center prepares to help launch the all-new Lake Chelan Valley Boys and Girls Club.
Kristina is enthusiastic about the future. “The Boys and Girls Club is going to be ‘the spot to be, and the Community Center is a fantastic facility for it to call home.” Kristina encourages area residents to stop by the front desk and say hello.
“I’ll help you find what you’re looking for with a smile,” Kristina promises, embodying the welcoming spirit that makes the Lake Chelan Community Center a true community hub.
