About the Foundation

Seven Acres Foundation consists of community-minded individuals driven to improve the quality of life of residents in the Lake Chelan Valley.

We dream, develop, and build resources providing impactful, tangible, and sustainable benefits for the local community.

Powering Seven Acres is a strong team of board member volunteers and staff who share a passion for meeting the urgent and tangible needs of the Lake Chelan Valley.

The Seven Acres Foundation is the 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that serves as the operational and financial force behind the vital Lake Chelan Community Center development. Seven Acres facilitates the construction, maintenance, and operations of the Lake Chelan Community Center.

Fundraising

Grants and donations to the Lake Chelan Community Center go to the Seven Acres Foundation, the legal entity.

All funds received through all channels, including our donation platform, are used to build the Lake Chelan Community Center.

Seven Acres Foundation Committees

Our organization relies heavily on committees to define goals and objectives, review progress on the Lake Chelan Community Center project, and identify areas for improvement or expansion.
Plus, committees provide an essential layer of accountability and transparency to ensure that decisions are made based on data and community needs.

Construction Committee

The Construction Committee, led by board member Scott Hutchinson, is responsible for:
  • Site management

  • Contractor oversight
  • Construction of the new 46,000 sq. ft. facility

Events Committee

The Events Committee, led by board member April Williams, oversees the planning, preparation, and implementation of events on behalf of the Lake Chelan Community Center that are intended to:
  • Increase awareness

  • Foster engagement and support

  • Encourage financial support

Finance Committee

The Finance Committee, led by board President Ty Witt, is responsible for the oversight of all revenues and expenses for the organization including:
  • Budgets and financial planning

  • Recommendations on debt obligations

  • Controllership for construction expenses

Philanthropy Committee

The Philanthropy Committee, led by Executive Director Maribel Cruz, aims to:
  • Reach the established goals for funding from local businesses, residents, property owners, and friends of our community

  • Successfully pivot from messages that ask for contributions, to messages that inspire contributions

  • Establish clear opportunities for grants, endowments at the state/local/federal levels.

  • Offer funding options that promote legacy giving and recognition

Interior Design Committee

The Interior Design Committee, led by board Vice President Brooke Isaak, is responsible for the look, feel, and functionality of each interior space within the facility. The committee aims to:
  • Create a comfortable and inviting environment within the Lake Chelan Community Center that encourages people to relax, hangout, and enjoy being inside the building

  • Choose furniture, art, and decorative pieces that please visitors of all ages

  • Oversee the design, placement, and use of interior way-finding signage

  • Select architectural finishings that reflect the community and are timeless

Marketing Committee

The Marketing Committee, led by board Vice President Brooke Isaak, aims to:
  • Guide and oversee brand development and awareness

  • Provide support for the fundraising and operations of the Lake Chelan Community Center

  • Manage advertising, public relations, promotions, social media, and local event participation

Outdoors Amenities Committee

The Outdoors Amenities Committee, led by board member Adam Rynd, is responsible for exterior enhancements to the Lake Chelan Community Center campus, including:
  • Swimming pool, aquatic center, pickleball and sand volleyball courts

Partner & Community Engagement Committee

The Partner & Community Engagement committee, led by Executive Director Maribel Cruz, aims to:
  • Evaluate proposals for new strategic partnerships that add value to The Community Center’s mission and values

  • Maintain & monitor current partnerships and help them reach full potential/ROI

  • Collaborate with other committees to streamline outreach efforts and ensure a full experience for partners

  • Engage in advocacy and networking for community engagement

  • Develop, review, and promote engagement opportunities

  • Develop, maintain, and share volunteer measures with other partners

Tenant Management & Lease Agreements Committee

The Tenant Management & Lease Agreements committee, led by board member Adam Rynd, aims to:
  • Guide, negotiate, manage, and oversee incoming tenant requests

  • Recommend and set market rates for potential space

  • Negotiate beneficial lease agreements that align with The Community Center’s mission and values

  • Manage lease agreements from start to finish and assign available space at The Community Center
