Wilf Wainhouse brings a lifetime of leadership, community-centered thinking, and deep ties to the Chelan Valley to the board of the Lake Chelan Community Center. A 45-year career with Sellen Construction took Wilf from an entry-level Project Engineer to Chief Operating Officer, offering him countless opportunities to help shape meaningful projects and strengthen the communities they served. Hired straight out of college, Wilf’s career reflects dedication, steady growth, and a belief that well-built places can make a real difference in people’s lives.

Wilf and his wife, Diane, first discovered the Columbia and Chelan valleys in 1984 during waterski vacations—camping at first, then eventually building vacation homes before settling into their current home on the south shore of Lake Chelan. After nearly four decades of returning to the valley year after year, they made Chelan their full-time home in 2023. Wilf and Diane are proud parents to Lauren and Matthew and grandparents to Townley, Remi, Lilah, Elijah, and Wyatt.

What excites Wilf most about the Lake Chelan Community Center is its role in supporting a growing, year-round community. He is inspired by the number of young families choosing to put down roots in the Chelan Valley and sees the Community Center as a vital, multi-use gathering place—one that serves residents, visitors, and future generations alike. Drawing from years of service on diverse volunteer boards, Wilf looks forward to contributing experience, perspective, and collaboration to help guide the Community Center’s continued growth and impact.
